Motorola launches its first waterproof, licence free walkie-talkie

date Released On 24th May 2016

We’re pleased to announce that we now have in stock Motorola’s very first waterproof, licence free walkie-talkie. You can purchase the TLKR T92 H2O in a handy twin-pack for just £108 (with free delivery).

Its IP67 rating means it’s fully submersible in up to one metre of water for 30 minutes. It floats too, so fans of water-sports won’t lose it easily, and its bright yellow casing makes it easy to spot in any terrain.

Motorola has incorporated a huge number of features into this rugged little walkie-talkie, making the TLKR T92 a very attractive and practical option for outdoor adventurers and extreme sports enthusiasts.

An LED torch (with red and white modes) activates automatically on contact with water, while an emergency button triggers a loud warning tone on your radio to alert other members of your group that you need help. Another useful safety feature is a built-in whistle on the belt clip.

With a range of up to 10km (depending on terrain), 8 channels and 121 codes, 20 call tones and LCD display with backlight, the TLKR T92 packs a real punch among rival walkie-talkies in the PMR446 range.

The NiMH battery will give you around 16 hours use, but the radio is supplied with a car charger, so if you’re on the go from dawn to dusk, the TLKR T92 can stay the course.

RadioTrader predicts this is going to be real winner for anyone needing a good value, licence free radio that’s full of features, tough in any terrain and waterproof.

Motorola has put together an impressive package for the price, which includes:

  • 2 x Motorola TLKR T92 H20 Handheld Two-Way Radios
  • 2 x Belt clips
  • 2 x NiMH rechargeable batteries
  • 1 x Car Charger
  • 2 x Detachable USB charger cables
  • 1 x Travel carry case
  • Instruction manual
