Shipping policy

At RadioTrader, we aim to dispatch all orders as quickly and securely as possible. This shipping policy explains how orders are processed, delivered and handled if an issue arises.

Order Processing

Orders are normally processed during our business hours, Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays.

Products held in stock are generally dispatched within 1–2 working days. Certain products may require programming, configuration, licensing, assembly or additional testing before dispatch. Where this applies, the estimated lead time will be shown on the product page or confirmed after your order is placed.

Orders placed at weekends or on bank holidays will be processed on the next working day.

Delivery Charges

Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on the delivery address, parcel size, weight and selected delivery service.

Any estimated delivery date is provided as a guide and is not guaranteed unless a guaranteed delivery service has been specifically agreed.

UK Delivery

We deliver throughout the United Kingdom using recognised courier and postal services.

Typical delivery times after dispatch are:

  • Standard delivery: 2–5 working days
  • Express delivery: 1–2 working days, where available
  • Pallet or specialist delivery: timescale confirmed separately

Some remote areas, including parts of the Scottish Highlands and Islands, may take longer or incur an additional delivery charge.

Northern Ireland Delivery

Orders to Northern Ireland may require additional delivery time depending on the products ordered and the courier service available.

Products containing lithium batteries or other restricted items may need to be sent using a specialist delivery service.

International Delivery

International delivery may be available for selected products and destinations. Please contact us before ordering if a delivery option is not available at checkout.

International customers are responsible for any customs charges, import duties, taxes or clearance fees applied by the destination country. These charges are not included in the product or delivery price unless stated otherwise.

Delivery times may be affected by customs clearance and local courier services.

Radio Programming and Licensing

Certain two-way radios must be programmed before use. Programming requirements should be confirmed when placing your order.

Licensed radio equipment may also require a valid Ofcom licence or other relevant authorisation. The customer is responsible for ensuring that the equipment is operated legally within their country or region.

Orders requiring programming may take longer to dispatch than standard stock items.

Tracking Information

Where tracking is available, the tracking details will be sent to the email address provided with the order once the parcel has been dispatched.

Tracking information may take several hours to become active after collection by the courier.

Delivery Address

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

Please check your delivery details carefully before placing an order. We cannot guarantee that an address can be amended once an order has entered the dispatch process.

Additional charges caused by an incorrect or incomplete address may be passed on to the customer.

Missed or Refused Deliveries

Where a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, the courier may leave instructions for rearranging delivery or collecting the parcel from a local depot.

If an order is returned to us because delivery was refused, repeatedly missed or the address was incorrect, an additional delivery charge may apply before the order is sent again.

Damaged Deliveries

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.

Any visible damage to the packaging should be reported to the courier at the time of delivery where possible. Please notify RadioTrader promptly and provide photographs of:

  • The external packaging
  • The shipping label
  • Any internal packaging
  • The damaged product

Keep all packaging until the issue has been resolved.

Missing or Delayed Orders

Courier delays can occasionally occur due to weather, traffic, operational disruption or other circumstances outside our control.

Please contact us if your order has not arrived within the expected delivery period. We will investigate the delivery with the courier and provide an update.

Split Deliveries

Orders containing multiple products may be dispatched separately if items are stored at different locations or have different lead times.

Where practical, we will advise you if your order is being sent in more than one delivery.
