The Icom IC-F5400D is a professional-grade VHF digital mobile two-way radio designed for demanding vehicle, fleet and fixed-base communication applications.
Part of Icom's advanced IDAS mobile radio range, the IC-F5400D combines excellent audio performance with a high-resolution colour display, active noise cancelling and a flexible, upgradeable platform. Operating across the 136–174 MHz VHF frequency range, it is an excellent choice for organisations requiring reliable long-range communication across outdoor, rural and large operational environments.
The IC-F5400D supports IDAS NXDN digital and analogue FM operation, allowing it to be incorporated into existing analogue systems or used as part of a modern digital radio network.
The IC-F5400D features a high-resolution trans-reflective colour LCD designed to remain clear in both daylight and vehicle lighting conditions. Clearly labelled menus make accessing radio functions straightforward, while a dedicated night mode improves visibility in low-light environments.
Built-in Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) technology helps reduce unwanted background noise, providing clearer communications in noisy vehicles, industrial environments and busy work sites.
Incoming and outgoing radio communications can be recorded directly by the IC-F5400D.
With a compatible microSD card installed, the radio can store extensive voice recordings which can then be replayed from the radio or accessed using a computer.
The integrated GPS receiver allows position information to be transmitted with voice and status calls.
The radio can also be integrated with compatible Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) systems, making it suitable for fleet management and vehicle tracking applications. An appropriate external GPS antenna may be required for mobile installations.
