The Motorola DP1400 is a very popular, entry-level two-way radio in the Mototrbo range, with a wide selection of accessories readily available. If you haven't yet completely migrated to a digital radio system, the DP1400 gives you all the benefits of digital with analogue compatability.  UHF and VHF models are available  - just configure the options you require during your purchase.

Question: Does this radio need to be programmed? We currently have 20 of these that are a year or two old - will they be compatible?
Answer:

Hello, 

Thank you for your request. 

I can confirm that yes the radios can be compatible however we would require 1 radio to be sent into us so that we can read the programming information for the handset.

Also if you have a programming cable and software this can be done also by somebody on site. 

We are happy to programme for you we would just need a radio from you.

Question: Is this DP1400 model a non-explosive Radios as we want to use it in Crude Oil Refining and Petrochemical Plant

No sadly this radio does not meet the standards you are looking for if you want a radio for that kind of sector you are better looking at our range of Atex radio.
