Product Description

Icom IC-F51 / IC-F61 ATEX is an analogue, intrinsically safe two-way radio, providing effective 2-way communication in a compact and lightweight design. Built-in signalling capabilities and voice-scrambler enable secure group communication. This radio meets the requirements for a tough, fully waterproof communications tool for use in dangerous areas such as oil rigs, where flammable gases or liquids are used and other potentially explosive environments.

Included is a desktop charger, as well as an adaptor, 1700mAh Li-Ion battery, antenna and belt clip.

Yes you will need a licence for this radio and I can not give a accurate answer for how long the range is as the environment it is being used in can make the maximum operating distance change.
