Product Description
The Icom GM600 VHF transceiver has passed rigorous environmental testing and quality assurance processes, and meets the GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System) VHF and MF/HF radio requirements as required for SOLAS regulated commercial vessels at sea. It also meets the Marine Equipment Directive (MED)“wheel mark” requirements for European merchant ships. (Learn more about GMDSS radio equipment in our Guide.)
The GM600 is designed to provide reliable communication and long-lasting durability in harsh maritime environments. The front panel has IPX7 protection (1m immersion in water for up to 30 minutes) and the rear panel haas a corrosion resistant coating.
