Question: What other items are needed to make this work with Bluetooth. Do I require a transmitter to be attached to the radio it's self? As I don't see how the ear piece and the PTT connect the radio unit

Answer:

The earpiece and PTT connector will only work in line with a Bluetooth compatible two way radio. You would need to enable one of the buttons on your radio which will allow you to connect Bluetooth accessories such as the kit mentioned. For example you will program into your radio a certain function you want buttons to do. To turn on your Bluetooth connectivity or turn it off.

Within regards to is there any other items that are required to make this work, apart from a two way radio then no. All of the equipment you require for a Bluetooth wireless kit can be found with this item.
